Default: 3 SubjectsHow is SGPA Calculated?
SGPA is computed by taking the weighted sum of grade points earned in each subject and dividing it by the sum of credit hours for all subjects taken during that semester.
Example Calculation:
Suppose a student took 3 subjects:
• Subject 1: 4 Credits, Grade Point 8 → Credit Points = 4 × 8 = 32
• Subject 2: 3 Credits, Grade Point 9 → Credit Points = 3 × 9 = 27
• Subject 3: 4 Credits, Grade Point 10 → Credit Points = 4 × 10 = 40
Total Credit Points = 32 + 27 + 40 = 99
Total Credits = 4 + 3 + 4 = 11
SGPA = 99 / 11 = 9.00
SGPA Calculator FAQs
GradeCalc supports flexible inputs! You can directly type any decimal grade point (such as 8.5 or 7.75) in the input field next to the dropdown.
Zero credit (non-credit / audit) courses do not contribute to SGPA credit weightage. Please enter subjects with credit value > 0 for SGPA calculation.
